Fun and educational
We have a non-verbal 5 1/2 year old. We love the Signing Time series, as he is able to learn at his own pace, just not verbalize. We have all learned how to help him communicate, and quite honestly, his Dynavox is such a pain to program and use, and won't always be appropriate (like in church or other quiet places). His motor skills make it hard for him to "enunciate" with signs, but we get the gist of what his point is much of the time, only because of Signing Time.
I'd LOVE for Signing Time to make DVDs for the teens and adults, for more words and also to teach us how to teach him conversational skills he will need as he ages up. We homeschool and need a "second language" for state requirements, so would love that second language to be conversational signing. :)
