A GREAT tutorial by one of the masters
Anyone into making rubber monster mask needs this video. The materials recommendations are worth the price alone. Heck they are worth twice the price. (You really want to get the type of paint he uses here. Its wonderful stuff.)
One warning: this is a DVD+R. My blu-ray player had a hard time with it. The only way i could get it to play the entire disc was to go to the "chapters" menu, and selecting chapter 1. Once i did that it played the entire disc without interruption. However, the information contained within was well worth this minor hassle.
I plan to purchase more of the SWSCA DVDs. If they are anything like this one they will be incredibly helpful.
Specialty-category video for making/painting/improving the perfect mask.
While most people cringe at the THOUGHT of paying $40 for a video about "Halloween masks", the same
people will pay TWICE that for a GOOD Halloween mask --- that still NEEDS a little help to look good.
In my profile photo -- here at Amazon -- I'm wearing a Frankenstein Monster mask that clearly stated
on the display box : "For COLLECTOR use only; not to be worn[!]". You might as well preach to ME that
"The world's most beautiful woman is next to you, naked, (it's just a dream)... but you CANNOT touch!"
I retouched my mask to suit ME ---- I prefer a BLUISH monster to a fake GREENISH one. Perfection!
Well, as you can see, I stuck a wig on the back of the wall display, and WEAR the darned thing...
every single Halloween --- in America or Europe --- for the past 24 years. The Glenn Strange display
(House of Frankenstein/Dracula and A & C Meet Frankenstein movies) mask fits my face like a glove.
I turned some Harley Boots, disceetly,...
Awesome Video
